Although this is a staged photo taken during a Cass Railfan Weekend, it
provides a great image of three Shay locomotives in action. Shay 6
(left) is on the former passing track and mill siding. Shay 2 (center)
is on the Cass Scenic Railroad line that goes up the mountain; Shay 4
is on the station siding. All three tracks were originally on the
C&O Greenbrier Division that ran from Ronceverte through Cass to
Durbin (and beyond to the now-vanished town of Winterburn). C&O
abandoned the line in 1979 and only small sections of active track
