October 5-6, 2013, Work Session

At this session another milestone was reached: The tender tank was filled so any leaks could be attended to prior to getting the inside industrially coated. As suspected, there were a few wet spots here and there, but overall it went surprisingly well. About six rivets need to be replaced, and the vertical lap-seams need to be caulked on the water side. These tasks will be attended to soon.

Also at the last work party, progress was made in the installation of a 1" X 1" angle-iron stiffener along the back edge of the cab roof.

More progress was made in the making of the rail wetters for the trucks. With luck this, too, may also be wrapped up quickly.
