The soldered ring mounted in the four-jaw chuck of the Reed-Prentice lathe. One needs to be rather delicate during the indicating of soldered pieces such as this, or the solder joint might crack and fail. The two black spacer bars behind the ring will be removed, after the final tightening process, and prior to powering up the machine.
