The dome setting loosely together. Rather nicely proportioned, don't you think? Setting on the floor, this thing is huge, but when in position on the top of the boiler, it appears to be much smaller. Every-day tourists do not realize how many buckets of sand are needed to fill it!
Now that we have the dome profile determined, we should be able to draw the boiler/dome /stack profiles on the shop floor, and figure how tall to construct the smoke stack tube. A nice problem for solving at the next work weekend.
