Stack ring part way through the weld-cleanup process. After a bit of judicious grinding, the file was used to do the final dressing of the welds smooth to both the tops of the lobes, and curvature of the heavy ring. The weld beads back in the indentions will be smoothed with a carbide burr having a hemispherical end. The hinged thing to the left is a mold for casting lead or babbit hammers.
