The bending rig on the anvil, ready to be heated and forged into shape. The bending form has been clamped, and tack welded to prevent slipping. A heat shield has been placed over the clamp to prevent the bulk of the heat from destroying its bolts, and to localize the heat in the bar to be heated and bent. Note that the old top bar has been torched off short in order to make more room to swing the sledge hammer.
